This new interactive website brings the stories and voices of Survivors of residential schools to every corner of our country and beyond. Visit WitnessBlanket.ca to hear first-hand accounts from Survivors and explore The Witness Blanket.
A large-scale work of art created by Carey Newman, The Witness Blanket contains hundreds of items reclaimed from residential schools, churches, government buildings and traditional and cultural structures from across Canada.
This project was made possible by a $1 million commitment from TELUS and the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation and an additional $100,000 from the Entwistle Family Foundation. TELUS is also providing invaluable support in promoting this new resource across Canada – thank you for your support!
